Dangers of Fake and Counterfeit Components.
Just like many other thing electronics in today's world, computer components are targets of fakes and counterfeiting. Though it may seem harmless and to some even cost effective, the use of these counterfeit
components cause a huge risk. All sorts of commercial and military craft rely heavily on these components, such as commercial airliners, war planes, helicopters, war ships, even missiles, and so on. The
failure of such components could lead to catastrophic consequences. Counterfeit routers are another issue as these fakes could lead to foreign espionage or accidents. Many fakes are purchased by companies
where employees sand off markings on used commercial chips and re-label them as military.
