The Tuttnauer DS1000 Steam Distiller is a countertop water purification system that produces up to 1 gallon of steam-distilled water in approximately 4 hours. How Does the Tuttnauer DS1000 Work?

The DS1000 purifies water through steam distillation.

Tap water is placed inside the stainless-steel boiler and heated to the boiling point. As the water converts to steam, many dissolved solids and contaminants remain behind in the boiling chamber.

The steam then travels through the stainless-steel condenser, where it cools and returns to liquid form.

Before entering the collection carafe, the distilled water passes through a final coconut-shell carbon polishing filter.

The result is purified distilled water collected in the included BPA-free carafe.
